How to Prepare for an Astrology Consultation

How to Prepare for an Astrology Consultation

You do not need to know astrology to have a good consultation. A little preparation, however, helps the conversation go further. Here is a simple guide.

Gather your birth details

For a birth chart reading, you will usually need your date, time and place of birth. If you are unsure of the exact time, check a birth certificate, hospital record or family documents, and tell your astrologer how certain you are.

Think about your questions

Write down what you would most like to understand. Specific questions tend to get more useful discussion than general ones.

  • What decision or situation is on my mind?
  • What would I like more clarity on?
  • Is there a timeframe I am thinking about?
  • What am I hoping to feel after the conversation?

Set realistic expectations

A consultation is a conversation based on a traditional system. It offers perspective and points for reflection. It cannot guarantee outcomes or take decisions for you.

Be comfortable sharing what you choose

Share only what you feel comfortable sharing. A good consultation is respectful and unhurried, and you should feel free to ask for anything to be explained again.

Afterwards

Take a little time to reflect on what was discussed. Notes can help, as can talking it through with someone you trust. You can read more about what to expect in our consultation approach, or get in touch to begin.

This article offers a general perspective from traditional Vedic astrology. Astrology is a belief system and not a science, and nothing here is a prediction, a guarantee, or a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.
